It began in a school building.
Path2Growth Counseling is a community-based mental health practice rooted in purpose, compassion, advocacy, and growth.

“I want every client I encounter to feel safe, cared for, heard, and respected during our sessions together. I never want a parent saying, “they don’t understand a report or a diagnosis,” or an adult to feel like they can’t get answers or the proper treatment for their diagnosis. I started Path2Growth to revolutionize and decolonize the mental health field.”

Dr. Samara Toussaint, PsyD
Clinical Director & Founder
Dr. Samara Toussaint is a psychologist, author, advocate, and sought-after speaker recognized for her expertise in autism, ADHD, trauma, learning differences, executive functioning, and culturally responsive mental health care.
As founder and clinical director of Path2Growth Counseling, she is dedicated to helping neurodivergent individuals and families feel understood, supported, and empowered — through psychological evaluations, therapy, coaching, training, consultation, and advocacy.
She is especially passionate about supporting people whose needs have been overlooked, misunderstood, or identified later in life: late-diagnosed adults, neurodivergent women, families navigating new diagnoses, and parents seeking to understand their children. Her approach looks beyond symptoms to the whole person — culture, relationships, trauma, environment, strengths, and everyday functioning.
A respected voice in the field of autism and neurodivergence, Dr. Toussaint is frequently invited to speak with schools, agencies, professionals, families, and community organizations. Her presentations translate complex psychological concepts into practical, accessible guidance that helps audiences better understand neurodivergence, reduce stigma, and create more supportive environments.
Through her clinical work, writing, public speaking, community partnerships, and advocacy, Dr. Toussaint is committed to replacing shame and confusion with clarity, compassion, and practical support. Her mission is to ensure that people are not defined solely by a diagnosis, but are given the tools, understanding, and community they need to grow.

Mara’s Magic Mask
The book was created to help families and educators understand masking and the emotional experiences of neurodivergent children. It also offers a meaningful path toward reflection and healing for late-diagnosed adults who spent years hiding parts of themselves.
